Fireworks – Think of Veterans

Take a minute to consider our Combat Veterans who may be effected by the fireworks you may use to celebrate the 4th of July.  Thank you for your consideration. Enjoy Independence Day, and stay safe.

Welcome Marissa!

We welcome Marissa Breault as our latest volunteer!  She is a student at Fulton Montgomery Community College, majoring in psychology and interest in criminal justice.  Marissa has a desire to help veterans and their families.  She will be working one on one with veterans cases and will be spearheading a support group for women of domestic violence.

Marissa has already been involved with learning more about the military and the effects of deployment on the veteran and the family.  Her research ability has helped us with current cases dealing with Agent Orange, social services, and domestic violence cases.

Her time has been invaluable to our Veterans!

This is important for all who may have been exposed to agent orange.

Warehouse Storgage Needed!

We are currently unable to store items for our Veterans, such as furniture, can goods, and clothing. WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Resources are scarce and we need creative solutions to this issue. In order to continue our service of providing these items we need a space that will be able to accommodate bulky items in a climate controlled environment. Our ultimate goal is to have a food pantry co-located with this storage facility.  Anyone who can help us find a facility in the Amsterdam/ Albany Capitol district, please call Mr. Paul DuBois at 518-265-7345 or email

There has been such a great need for furniture for our veterans that we can’t keep up with the donations and deliveries.  If you wish to donate your time to this cause and make a difference in the quality of life for a veteran, please us the “contact us” link on our website.

Working Together!

Recently, WRGB TV, 6 in Schenectady ran a story about a member of a Veterans family, John St.Laurent, who suffers from stage 3 MS and had his wheelchair stolen. Even though the wheelchair was found and returned the man had difficulty pushing the chair with his hands so Mountains to Miracles Veterans Foundation donated an electric wheelchair to him. Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Glenville generously donated all the material to build a wheelchair ramp. The American Legion Riders and the Seabee Veterans, from Altamont, designed and built the ramp! Mr. St.Laurent was truly grateful to all and could not believe generosity of all parties!
